Starting today, Dubai prohibits bringing electric scooters into the subway.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai announced on Thursday that commuters are prohibited from bringing electric scooters into the subway and tram.
The ban took effect on Friday, March 1, 2024. The authorities will utilize robots to monitor violations.
Last month, subway services at the Onpassive station were delayed by nearly an hour due to a sudden smoke emission from an electric scooter inside the subway.
